Duel update #3!

For me I did up one of the funniest animated characters ever! Kronk!! I tried to do up a heroic pose for him, and think it turned out decently well!! As for Meek he did one of the craziest villains in the DC universe, The Killer Croc!! and a nice one he did!!

EARTHWORM JIM! I feel how Frost felt yesterday about his Dare Devil. I'm not super woo woo crazy about it but at the same time for the amount of time i spent on it I'm happy with it. I used to love Earthworm Jim I remember playing the games and watching the show and cracking up. Hence Earthworm Jim with the psycho case of the giggles.

CAT! Yes The Cat in the Hat! it was a real treat to draw this cause this cat is so neat. He's performed some crazy antics like zany high flying acrobatics. He'll help you clean up with the help of Thing 1 and Thing 2 but he'll make more of a mess and you might find glue in your shoe. I really admire the great Dr Seuss by the way I love my wife and her caboose. Other things I love are things like pie and waffles and the only reason I say that is cause I wanted to say collywobbles.

AVENGER! Alright so technically speaking Captain America starts with a C but he IS an Avenger and is Americas hero haha. I've very rarely ever drawn Cap one memory I have of him has more so to do with the artist drawing him. I was on the train in junior high and I was sitting next to this guy that was beltin out this awesome fully shaded Cap sketch. I went with a straight forward bust on this, I promise to deliver a full on pose tomorrow.

So for the next 26 weekdays Meek and I are going to do the alphabet game, AND were not going to tell each other which characters were going to do for each day, so it is going to be as much of a surprise for you as it is for us!

A is for Aquaman! I have always likes Aquaman and I don't think I have ever drawn him, so I felt why not do him up. I decided after doing up is initial design to do another in some sort of action pose, and so after referencing the great works of two of my pals Sean"cheeks"Galloway, and "Dapper"Dan Shoening I came up with these two pieces. The action pose was a big time reference from DanO! Thanks guys for all the inspiration!! So yeah I hope y'all enjoy as much as I did while creating! Please let me know what you think!

Hades is AWESOME!!! I love this guy! I LOVE this movie!! I am huge fan of greek mythology, and I know the movie doesn't follow the true Hercules story, but I heart it just the same! This was a drawing I did, but It is a total reference of one of the images from the Art of Hercules book. Great book! Buy it if you can find it!!

If you're wondering what happened to the tag on his color well I tried to do the S on there but the pen wouldn't let me. Here's a fun fact the entire time I was doing this up I had the theme song from the Krypton cartoon in my head. Survived the first week of this blog! For this weeks topics I want to try to do more of a scene. I can't guarantee I will be able to for all, but it is my goal! Pretty happy with this one. I wanted to try and make this image kinda a secondary image to Dan S.'s amazing piece "Head's I win". I don't think this no where compares to his epic masterpiece, but it's always fun to try. I reference from Dan quite often and try to sing his praise whenever I can, so stop by his sites and say Josh sent ya ;)

Hey gang,

Feeling good about this one! The mighty Thanos!!! He is one of my all time fav villains! He is ruthless and just so damn cool! I really wanted to push the shapes and proportions for this one, and thanks to the inspiration of this image by me new DA friend I was able to create something I am really happy with. I totally took his body shape, but I did it as a learning experience, and am really happy I did. I also decided to ink this guy by hand, which is something I haven't done in forever! all in all I am happy with him. I think this next week I will push all my drawing in a way similar to this one, so I really hope you likes!

Man! This drawing actually kicked my ass!!! I did about 5 different attempts until I settled on this image, and finished it up. I worked on this on and off from 3pm-9pm!

For this image I really wanted to try and step away from my comfort zone a bit, and make a funner more dynamic angle/pose. I studied a couple images from my pal and mentor Cheeks, and well in the end came out with this! Hope you guys likes. I am happy with the end result!
